Resilient Rhinos name was chosen as I consider resilience as one of the important skills in life and rhinos as a species are battling it out against all odds - human and non-human advances that threaten the existence of the species. Three of the five surviving rhino species - the black, Javan and Sumantran - are critically endangered. This means there is at least 50% chance that these species could become extinct sometime this century. The name Resilient Rhinos was chosen to bring about more awareness to these endangered species. Resilience is all about facing difficult times and having the ability to bounce back and carry on regardless. The slogan - Endure, Evolve, Excel aims to depict this never die and try attitude. 

Deep Waters

The name is symbolic of the deep end of the Sea - where Seamen find it the toughest and have to prepare themselves the most for this phase and be able to go through the stormy weather and troubled waters (which is often present in the deep end). The best seamen are those that prepare hard and courageously face the deep waters.

This represents my journey with KFANDRA and generally life and my aspiration to be one of the best by working hard and preparing not to just survive but to come out successfully at the deep end.

The slogan puts this philosophy in a short but effective manner - In ‘Quiet depths’ I am talking about working hard in solace w/o making noise and in ‘Fierce resolve’ I want to present that even though unnecessary noise will not be there in the preparation the ferocity is present in the resolve.

Dodo is a flightless bird who was very swift on land. The "dancing" came in my mind as he was the joyful ani-man and it rhymed as well.

I always dreamt of owning a football team. Since I'm not a millionaire, I always thought of starting from the bottom league, with a grassroots team. This is also why I tried my short stint at coaching a grassroots team. Thus the name AB'S BABIES, where AB stands for my name, and the babies imply a young team. Slogan Bawling our way to the top, is a synonym for Balling our way to the top, with some humour attached to it. Balling is slang for playing exceptionally well.

The club name, logo and slogan are based on my nickname at KFANDRA 'Ashubh'. It's supposed to signify that facing my team will bring bad luck or misfortune to my opponents. I chose owls as they are considered harbingers of bad luck in some cultures, but also a symbol of wisdom in others - although I personally don't believe in the negative connotation and find them fascinating.
